Teeth Brushing
Though I don't value much of the vet's advice when it comes
to my other dog Maui, I am trying to follow just about every instruction given
with Ziggie. When I took him in for his check up and shots last week, they told
me that I needed to get a tooth brush and tooth paste for him. After much
thought, I purchased one. When I was trying to brush his teeth, he loved the
tooth paste, but not so much the tooth brush it was on. He would move every
time I put it against his gums. I got him some chewy toys to rub against his
gums as he played, and the problem was solved. He now loves his tooth brush and
teeth brushing days.

Cuteness and Teething
It’s a really good thing that puppies are very cute. If they
weren’t, I really don’t think they would survive at all. My new puppy chews up
the world as though it were nothing but a big dog bone. If there is anything
within his reach, he will destroy it. He sadly chews up everything from carpet,
to my retainers. He has also gotten ahold of my backpack and dirty laundry bin.
He didn’t want what was in the bin, but the bin itself. I’ve found that yelling
at him just doesn’t help, but acting as though I care very deeply about the
item he has chewed and acting like this is the biggest loss in the world tends
to work. Since I started being so over dramatic, my puppy has chewed up so much
less.
